The SUN in my CLOUDY day!

I having a tougher day today. Have you ever gotten cold feet about your venue? I think I have a case of "I change my mind too much". I loved our venue, but I am uncertain that everyone can afford to stay at the resort... I am stressed because when planning a wedding you have to consider everyone's finical situation, and while we got a great deal on the reception, it still costs a pretty penny to stay there.

I think this my be the reason why I have been looking at different venues all day, something with some reasonable hotels nearby and that will also keep my budget in the green. While looking I found this beautiful California Wedding from Southern Weddings Magazine and it absolutely brightened my day. And it gives me hope that me and the MR. will find the perfect place. xoxo ELle.

Cupcake Weddig Favors.

If you know me personally, you know that my obsession for cupcakes is BEYOND unhealthy. If the MR. knows I am upset, his first resort is the cupcake, and while we don't make them very well we always know where to go for the perfect cup-o-heaven. So it was a natural decision that we wouldn't have a traditional wedding cake and "go big" with a cupcake bar!

So the next logical step was to do a "Mrs. Elle and Mr. Elle Wedding Cupcake Mixes" favor. We were thinking we would buy these custom boxes, and place an addition label on the boxes that explains how to make the special day cupcakes on the later date of the guest choice, therefore reminding them of our special day...

It will say something like...
Step 1. Mix one cup of love (1 Cup of water)
ect.

{But I loved these boxes because they are in the shape of a wedding cake and people can just pick them off as they go! What do you think... ps. they will be in a different color, and possibly with different ribbons, but I really like the designer So Inviting.}

{I am also kinda crazy about this boxes from Nashville Wraps.}

What do you think?

Like finding gold.

I really think that this is what my wedding is starting to look like, so when I found it on Southern Wedding I squealed with joy. I really love how all this colors compliment each other and how they will fit perfectly with my venue.

The bride and bridesmaids: The bride could carry a colorful bouquet of pink peonies and succulents. A pair of leaf green shoes would add a bit of whimsy. Bridesmaids would look lovely in green dresses of different shades.
The groom and groomsmen: Light-colored suits for the men. Perhaps the groomsmen could wear aloe-colored ties while the groom wears the more vibrant leaf green. Little succulent boutonnieres would add a nice touch.
Accents and Details: Succulents and peonies are such a great combination for centerpieces. Containers of wheatgrass could also be incorporated into the décor.

Love is in the Air.

I was having warm and fuzzy feelings from Bachelorette tonight, I stumbled on this picture by Braedon Photography and couldnt help but think that this night just went from a 9 to a 10. If I were to name this photo it would be: "Hold me back ladies!". Have a good night lovies, tomorrow I shall report on the Bridal Show that I am still recovering from today. Seriously I cant believe I am sore for talking to wedding vendors.

this will make you smile.

I got a message from the husband and wife team of Halberg Photography, and had a ball looking through their lovely organic photos. This Lake Tahoe wedding was completely inspiring! enjoy. xoxo eLle

Gia Canali, is unbelievably talented. I spent a 45 minutes on her site today, got lost in her work and immediately wished I had her talent or could hire her for my wedding. This wedding that she has in one of her galleries was held in Turks and Caicos and is breathtaking. Here is a little inspiration board that I put together from her work.. Love! L

Romance to the MAX!

I dont know why but I am finding so much inspiration for different Staionary Designers lately... It is both a good and a bad thing:

Good: because it pushes my creative buttons and keeps me thinking of new ideas.

Bad: I keeping changing m mind about colors, themes and my overall wedding design.

When I saw this post on Style Me Pretty by Mika 78, I nearly cried it was so beautifully inspired. It set off the angel and the devil on either shoulder telling me to go with ROMANCE for the wedding, and change everything to fit with these inspiration boards that Mika 78 designed. So here they are and I hope they throw off your plans as much as they did on my part. Or you could just oogle at them if you have stronger self control. Either way, enjoy. xoxo L

I think these are my most favorite invites- EVER!
